About Me
Welcome to my website! I'm Daniel, a professional celebrant based in the beautiful city of Worcester. I am here to help you make any life event memorable and one to treasure. Read on to learn a bit more about me.
My Story
I decided to become a celebrant following the sad passing of two important figures in my life; a close friend and my father-in-law, both within a year and a half of each other. As it transpired, the same celebrant oversaw both funeral ceremonies and whilst they were sad occasions, the celebrant made them special and in a way, helped me through my grieving process.
Following on from that, I realised that I wanted to embark on career that allowed me to help people to mark significant life events in the way that reflects who they are as individuals. There's also something precious about being able to share a momentous occasion and contribute in some way to making it a special day. Whether it's a wedding celebration or a memorial, what matters most of all is that any ceremony I oversee is everything you envisioned and more!
On October 26th 2024, I married my wonderful wife at The Commandery in Worcester city centre. The day could not have been any more perfect - everyone enjoyed being part of the ceremony and the party afterwards! It has also given me an insight into what goes into planning a wedding and how to make it special; knowledge I hope that I can share with you.
Finding the right words
In addition to being a celebrant, I am a spoken word poet and regularly read at open mic events across the Worcestershire area. I have also hosted poetry events for charitable causes, including mental health and conservation, while also lending my support to other events that aimed to raise awareness of various issues. Being a poet and performer means that I am confident speaking in front of groups of people and finding words which, I hope, inspire audiences.
Being a poet also means that I can produce and deliver a personal script for your ceremony. From eulogies to wedding vows, even bespoke poetry, I truly believe that the words spoken at any ceremony should always be unique and which celebrate you in the most perfect way.
